NINA BROOKE - artist statement
I have been painting in my studio in Cornwall for the past 8 years, developing my style as an artist. This space is for experimenting and recreating subjects of interest, particularly the sea - I am constantly drawn the watery depths and mysterious colours. The inky blues and sparkling greens are forever changing and they represent a constant creative adventure for me.
I use a range of different mediums including oil, acrylic, texture, and watercolour to keep my work fresh. My favourite point of view is an aerial perspective, and I have been working on a series of paintings based on a bird's eye view of some of the worlds most beautiful places.
