A painting residency in paradise . Makeshift studio . Aerial Art Exhibitions . New work
ALOHA SUPERETTE, KAilua
Whilst in Hawaii, Nina was invited by Jennifer Binney, owner of boutique concept store Aloha Superette to produce a collection of paintings for an exhibition in the store atelier. It was also an opportunity to collaborate with local artist and fellow aerial-perspective fan Bree Poort. The result was a vibrant, collaborative exhibition between the two artists. Most work from the exhibition has now sold, but Nina is currently working on a new collection of paintings which will be available soon in the UK. essentials for the traveling artist
You don't need much to get creative on the road, and Nina's packing skills have been well trained over the last few months with extensive travels around the world to some of the most picturesque (and remote) locations.
Passport - check. Paintbrushes - check. Paints - check. Surfboard - check. Tropical paradise ... check.
It also helps that Nina can set up a studio practically anywhere... A very handy skill!
